Student Logo Design Contest
AN OPEN CALL FOR STUDENT DESIGNS!
National Black Lives Matter at School is seeking student designs for our annual Week of Action. The design will be used around the country to support organizing around our four core demands and 13 guiding principles.
During the school year, BLM at School has an annual Week of Action in different cities. Thousands of educators around the world wear their Black Lives Matter shirts to school and teach lessons on our demands and guiding principles, structural racism, intersectionality, Black history, and anti-racist movements. The T-shirt played a significant role in the formation of the Black Lives Matter at School movement and you get to help us celebrate that!
The winner of this contest will have their design featured as the 2025 BLM at School logo on programming graphics and apparel such as T-shirts, and be recognized in a newsletter publication, on social media, and will receive a t-shirt with their design on it, as well as a cash prize.

The National Black Lives Matter at School Steering Committee will select up to three designs for our network to vote for. The winner will be announced in December and the design will be printed on T-shirts for the 2025 Week of Action.

Design Guidelines
- Include
- “Black Lives Matter at School” OR “BLM at School”
- “2025”
- Inspired by our demands and guiding principles, Black joy, and collective care
- The design is your own.
- Design is in one color and for the front of the shirt only
- FILE: Must be in high resolution (300PPI - pixels per inch) and to be submitted as a .jpg, .png, .pdf, .ai, or .psd file
- Open to students: PreK-16
- One entry per student.
- The artist accepts the use of the design in BLM at School programming, fundraising, etc.
Important Dates
- Submit your design September 14 - November 20, 2024
- LAST DAY to submit a design – November 20, 2024, 11:59pm (Your Time Zone)
- Public Voting (on Social Media & blacklivesmatteratschool.com) - November 24-30, 2024
- Announcement of contest winner - December 3, 2024
